Do you cull cubes or polygons that are not visible to the camera? If not, there will definitely be some speed penalties on less-than-recent computers.

i remove all sprites which never could be seen. all other sprites are only visible when the are on the right side of cube (camera can possibly see them)

It's another Minecraft clone !
Good !

But bring on originality : moving platforms, traps, possibility to move cube objects (simple physics) ,
third person view, vehicles etc ..., FPS gameplay (like cube engine ??) ...

Keep it up !

Heya.
This framework is pretty epic. All of it.
Since your creeper model was a bit too simple, I've modified mesh a bit (added 2 legs) and textured it: laugh

Also I did a small mod to creeper demo, to make one efficiently jump on terrain, and have real gravity:
http://solidfiles.com/d/0ed0e/
(a separate modified creeper.c can be grabbed from http://solidfiles.com/d/f085/)

I'll try to contribute more for this.
A bit unrelated question, do you know of some networking DLL's that can be used in Free edition?
I have a urge to make a small nice game with this now.

Unfortunately, I've not worked with 3dGS for a while now, but it was fun

Very cool! What I like most is your light/shadow system!

Did I get you wrong or are you using 4 sprites for the cubes instead of a model? Is that faster? Are you using sprite instancing?
