A bug...the game works two times:

I had similar experiences:

I played a few times more, and it worked, but now it crashes. I click the number 4, when talking to the russian scientist. Same result.

I have still many ugly jerks, althought the framerate seems to be quite good.
That's quite annoying, because it helps the monster to kill me!
