I fear this is going to be a 'yes it is', 'no it isn't' kind of discussion, so I'll leave it be, but according to both Epic games, Gamespot ánd Artificial Studios themselves the Reality Engine was
"subsequently picked up by the folks at Epic and worked into the Unreal Engine 3" , needless to say, this happened in 2005 shortly after the Reality Engine was purchased. Off course older projects still receive support for that engine, I don't question that, however Monster Maddness: Battle for Suburbia is really using the Unreal 3 engine, already from slightly before the E3 2006;
