I´m starting to prefere longer hair since it makes head-banging more "spectacular"-from the visual task

no, unfortunately not. i had long hair once, but i basically lost my hair. im balding, and there isnt a much more pathetic sign of low self esteem as when you comb your last few hairs over the baling end of your head...
that sucks, I know i'd hate to be balding, good hair that matches my face is really all i have going for me looks wise (in fact ive had girls say they wanted to do some crazy shit with me just because they like my hair) so yeah.... I'd be upset.
