Thanks for the comments, I'm still working on the graphics.
The trees are rendered in my special tree system, so they are meshes up close and sprites at a distance...there are shadows up close as well; I will add more distant shadows later which will hopefully fix this problem of the lighting not matching.
Terrain texture is pretty high res, maybe it just looks blurry in these screenshots.
Rocks aren't really done yet, they sort of are just for filler right now.
I will post some higher res shots soon.
