well i defined a fix string like this:

strChat1 = str_create("#200");

and if i just do "str_cpy(strChat1, "");" i had problems with it, it cutted the length, it only worked with "str_cpy(strChat1, "#200");" so maybe you need to do that. at least only this method worked for me.
