you're perfectly right: of course it doesn't look like a modern shooter :-). I am actually not skilled enough for such quality, my knowledge about shaders, normalmaps etc. is next to nothing. Maybe, I'll learn it someday. I orderd A7 today and can't wait 'till it's here. It will hopefully make things easier for me.
The monster are actually gone to bring along their friends.. they will of course return when everything else is finished:-).
Your test project? Would like to see more. I actually like the minimonstermayhem quite a lot, because one can see that it is really original and not a copied style. I wish I was that creative.
