I've been recently working on a movement code (as always damn grin ), and main goal was to create climbing mechanics for stealth/horror game.
It ended up with this features:
Quote:
- climbable ledges, walking sideways on them, jumping from one ledge to another
- climbable ropes/pipes, also player can jump from them to grab ropes/pipes/ledges near by
- walking tightrope (this bastard was gilty for the appearance of my insomnia)
- handrail climging (stealthy as shit! grin )
Special thanks to MasterQ32 for helping me out with some awesome ideas, as well by testing everything I sent him and especially for writing me an example of 'find position on line' code ( How can I project a 3D point onto a 3D line? ). If not him, I would probably already lose my motivation.. Next things to add is swimming!
